Been a very long time...I am now a pancreatic cancer patient. Had successful surgery (modified Whipple procedure) on 2 June and started chemotherapy on 14 July, which will last 6 months.

Truly sorry for what you two are going through. You've probably got all the advice you need(or want;>) but if you haven't tried Ginger Syrup for Nausea get or just make a batch and try a tsp. 1:1 Grated fresh Ginger and a # of Honey on low in a non-Metal pot for an hr, then strain.
Works better for me than the meds they prescribe me...
Cheers,
Pat

Thank Pat, I like the taste of ginger and have been trying mom's old remedy of flat ginger ale.

Anita is doing very well now, still tussling with the VA over some of her treatments, but chugging along and her boss has been wonderful about the time off she needed to care for me.

As for me, I am in the least worst shape I could be, surgery looks to have been successful, most recent CT scan shows almost nothing out of place...just a matter of tolerating the chemo. Main side effect so far is fatigue.

I will keep putting one foot in font of the other.

Take care - Pip
